I decided to change the waves so that they are being pushed out instead of being sucked in to accentuate the controversial idea of industrial cubes slotting in rhythmically, juxtaposed by the organic look of the flowing wave. These contradicting elements when put together give something that looks like an organism that lives and breathes.
Seeing that I am also trying to depict the essence of sound waves I figured using an oscillator would fit perfectly with this program, so I picked out bits of the oscillator code from http://code.compartmental.net/ and altered the portamento speed, frequencies and the amplitude till I was pleased with a sound which I seemed fit.
